“Science doesn’t exist in isolation from other disciplines. It has evolved in the context of culture,contemporary challenges and people’s personal situations. Young people’s understanding and use of
science is also strong when it relates to their own lives. Increasingly, their lives are linked with global issues and with people in other parts of the world. Science can help to make sense of this interdependence.”
